Alderson & Associates, Inc. provided mechanical and electrical engineering design services for the office headquarters and parking garage. The facility serves as CST's regional distribution center and houses the corporate headquarters. The facility supplies more that 580 of its stores. The primary mechanical systems designed for the project consisted of five direct expansion variable air volume rooftop units with integral total energy recovery wheels. Total capacity of the systems is approximately 500 tons. The air distribution system design includes parallel fan powered terminal units with modulating electric reheat. Additionally, a new BACnet direct digital control system was designed to efficiently control all new equipment. All systems were designed to maximize occupant comfort and meet IECC 2015 requirements. The design of the electrical system consisted of a renovation and expansion of an existing 4000A, 480V power distribution system.
